Had quick dinner for one, chicken steak with rice and gravy with combo (hot drink and soup), not bad cheaper than McDonalds. My table was a bit worn out, overall it does the job, service was quick.
This place comes highly recommended by a Hong Kong friend, and I can see why! It delivers on authentic flavors that transport you to the streets of Hong Kong. Visiting during lunch hours on a public holiday, I was greeted with a bustling scene - a lineup of 6-7 tables eagerly waiting for their meals. Despite the wait, it was worth it. We tried a few dishes, including the homemade BBQ pork with eggs on rice (12.99), which was not bad but not exceptional compared to other places. The Curry Lamb Brisket with Rice (16.99) was a rare find and one of the best renditions I've had recently. However, the real star of the show was the Fried Chicken Leg with tomato sauce on Rice (13.99). Made to order with a 20-minute wait, this dish exceeded all expectations and left the three of us craving for more. The staff was incredibly nice, and the service was efficient despite the busy lunch crowd.
A lovely canton style restaurant, with kind and quick service, and very delicious food. Highly recommended, really worth to try. When I go inside, I enjoy it as if I were in HK again.
A quick lunch here,... luckily only waited 10 minutes right at lunch hours. Friendly service, fast and efficient! Food quality is quite good in New Market for HK style foods. First time here, will be back for more! HK style milk tea, can be better
Delicious food and good portions. I recommend: - the ginger onion oil with chicken cutlet on instant noodle (so flavourful, maybe a bit salty but personally that’s better than being bland ) - fried chicken leg and tomato sauce on rice (doesn’t sound like it would be anything crazy, but the chicken is huge and is very juicy!) - signature french toast with sea salt cream (the cream is so delicious i could drink it ) i love the iced hong kong milk tea as well!
I personally like that restaurant very much and I usually ordered take out from them. Their baked Portuguese chicken with pasta, and baked pork chop with pasta are excellent. The portion was just right. The price was reasonable.
There’s not many Hong Kong cafe up in Newmarket so when I saw this, I wanted to try it. I went around 1PM and it was still quite busy. The restaurant isn’t very big but had 8-10 tables (could be less if there were large groups). The staff was attentive but sometimes didn’t notice when I needed assistance. The food came out relatively fast and was very good. We got chicken rice, noodle soup w/ egg sandwich and cheese tomato baked rice. I prefer the baked rice over the chicken but they both tasted good. Check it out, if you’re ever in the area.
Amazing experience! The portions were generous, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. The iced lemonade tea was the highlight – refreshing and perfectly balanced. Definitely a must-try! I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food, fresh ingredients, and excellent service.
